Oh right. Like YOU haven't wanted to bomb a network.

The hits just keep coming for the Bush Administration.

The Daily Mirror of London is reporting that British government documents indicate that, in April 2004, President Bush spoke of bombing the headquarters of Arab broadcaster Al-Jazeera.

Hey with a minute! I thought he didn't watch the news!

And with Bush's aim and his ability to get offstage with grace,
he'd probably hit FOX News, blame it on the French, and end
up locking himself in the bathroom with a bottle of scotch . . .
and then we'd all be better off.

Paul,

I’m glad you’re writing about this, because it is important.

The Bush administration is out of control. You can’t consider bombing an organ of the press if you want to claim you are a democratic society! Our biggest problem, however, is our supposed free press.

As FAIR put it:

“With polls showing growing opposition to the Iraq War and an increasing distrust for the White House, one might think that the press corps would be willing to re-examine [the information distributed by our current administration.] But for many pundits, the [lies] are old news.” http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=2761

As with other memos that have leaked from Downing Street, this current one will also be overlooked. It will be overlooked not because it isn’t news, but because it is “old.” Seemingly the only thing that constitutes new news is the BS that is spurting from the Oval Fountain.

With the way things stand in the USA today, I don’t see repatriation as a viable option.
